the Story

Genesis 24: 15-20

Behold, Rebecca came out, the daughter of Bathuel, son of Melcha, wife to Nachor the brother of Abraham, with a pitcher on her shoulder. And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, unknown to a man. And she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher and came back.

And the servant ran to meet her, and said: "Give me to drink, I pray you, from your pitcher."

And she said: "Drink, my lord."

And quickly she down the pitcher from her hand and gave him drink.

And when he had drunk, she said: "I will draw water for your camels also, until they have also done drinking."

And she hastened and emptied the pitcher into the trough, and she ran back to the well to draw water, and she drew water for all the camels.
